IRCS TNB SRC STRN Project

 

 

A one-day Village Volunteer Orientation Training was organised by Tanjavur Red Cross Branch under Short Term Recovery Needs (STRN) Project supported by Spanish Red Cross. This programme was  conducted at Adhirampattinam on 31st Jan 2009. The one day training was about introduction to the project purpose, goal and objectives. The strategies were planned with volunteers to achieve the project goal.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The first session was itroduction about the Red Cross Movement and principles of Red Cross, the second was about  the selecting of deserving beneficiaries and to avoid duplication of beneficiaries by lot of Participatory Learning Activities which made the learning very easy for both the facilitators and volunteers.
          
The third session was about the introduction of IRCS SRC STRN Project tools for selection of volunteers. The forms like undertaking format was discussed in detail.

The last session was about the Base line survey, importance of Baseline Survey and the Questionnarie tool. Add ups were done through group discussion.

Overall the facilitators handled the session  in diadatic and skill building levels.
