Youth Red Cross

  3-day Zonal Level Orientation Training Programme for YRC Programme Officers & YRC Volunteers was conducted at Alagappa University, Karaikudi from 23rd to 25th March 2009. 59 YRC volunteers and 7 Programme Officers participated in the programme. During this programme the participants were oriented on Red Cross Movement, First Aid, Disaster Management, Road Rules for safe travel and Fire Fighting demonstration for dissemination at College Level.

4-day State Level study camp for YRC Programme Officers and YRC volunteers was conducted at Madurai Kamaraj University, Madurai from 16th to 19th March 2009. 172 YRC volunteers and 8 programme officers participated.  During this programme the participants were given awareness on Yoga for good Health, Fire prevention, International Humanitarian Law, Communication Skills.  A rally also conducted to create the awareness on HIV/AIDS & Blood Donation.
