Blood Bank

Blood Donation camps were conducted during Mach 2010 by Indian Red Cross Society, Tamil Nadu Branch Blood Bank unit in following 16 camps and 1530 units of Blood were collected.

Blood Grouping Camp:-

        2 Blood Grouping Camp were conducted in which 409 Nos of blood grouping were done as follows.

During the month of March, 840 units were issued on requisition to various hospitals. In certain deserving cases, 51 units issued free of cost to Government General Hospitals on requisition from the Resident Medical Officer.

COMPONENT SEPARATION UNIT:-

        In our Blood Bank, blood components like Packed Red Cell, Fresh Frozen Plasma and Platelet Concentrate are separated and blood supplied to hospitals and Nursing Homes on requisition.
