Garden

 

In order to make the campus clean and tidy including the garden in front of the main building which was full of shrubs and plants in a very disorderly manner and to make the road inside the campus motorable and walkable for the staff, initiatives were taken to make the garden neat, clean and tidy, eco-friendly and esthetic look with new plants. With the support of the State Bank of India, Stressed Assets Management Branch, the garden work has been undertaken at a cost of Rs.3 Lakhs, out of which State Bank of India has provided Rs.2 Lakhs as donation. The State Bank of India is also bearing the garden maintenance charges of Rs.6,000/- per month. The garden project is already completed and functioning well.

On 16th June 2010, the State Bank of India had handed over a cheque for Rs.2,00,000/- (Rupees two lakhs only) towards garden project taken up within the premises of Red Cross. The State Bank of India also given another cheque for Rs.6,000/- towards maintenance cost of the Garden. Thiru V. Srinivasan, Deputy General Manager handed over the cheques to the President Dr.Vimala Ramalingam on that occasion.
