5 Days Inter State YRC Training-cum- Study Camp.

An Inter-State Training-cum-Study camp was held at Tirunelvli from 27th to 31st July 2009, organized by Dr.X.Rosary Mary, Zonal Co-Ordinator, Manomaniam Sundaranar University Supported by IRCS,Tamil Nadu.

The programme officers and YRC volunteers from 6 states participated in this camp. Totally 148 participated in this camp. Totally 148 participates from the following states were partipated.

• Andhra Pradesh
• Karnataka
• Kerala
• Maharastra
• Mumbai
• Pune
• Pondicherry
• Tamil Nadu

Prof Dr.R.T.Sabapathy Mohan, Vice-Chancellor, Manonmaniam Sundaranar University presided over the programme. Prof.Dr.R. Karpaga Kumaravel, Vice Chancellor, Madurai Kamaraj University, Madurai inaugurated the programme, Dr. Vimala Ramalingam, President, IRCS, TNB Chennai Delivered the key note address. Mrs.Shanata Diaz Secretary, IRCS, TNB Chennai & Mr. Mr.G.Xavier Fernado, Secretary, Tuticorin District Brach of SIRC of ICAI felicitated the occasion.

During this programme the participants were oriented on Brain storming Knowing Myself My Group. Principles of Res Cross & its emblem., Yoga & Prospective health, Interpersonal Relationship – A gender prospective, First- Aid, career guidance & Counseling, Disaster Management, Professional Skills, Communal harmony, Global Climate change & its impact on India, Blood Donation – role of YRC volunteers.

The valedictory function was held on 31st July 2009. Mr. M. Puthia Baskar Vice Chairman, IRCS, Tenkasi. Dr. A. kanagaraj, Dean I/C Tirunelvli Medical College, Mr. Balaraman, C.A.O IRCS TNB Chennai participated in the function. The certificates were distributed to the campers.
