CHINDADRIPET

Indian Red Cross Society, Tamil Nadu Branch conducted the Intensified Pulse Polio Immunization Campaign from 10-01-2010 to 16-01-2010 (7days) in Ist Phase to cover the children, under 5 years with Polio Immunization.  The total population in our allotted area in Chindadripet at Chennai is 50,142, of which, 5,212 are children below 5 years. The Nurse Aid students of Red Cross are worked as volunteers to mobilize and motivate the children, at door step. During the Ist phase 5,670 children were immunized through 9 fixed and 3 mobile booths. This is being undertaken every year with the support of Corporation of Chennai.
