One day District Level YRC Students Study Camp was conducted at Coimbatore on 10-02-2011. Prof.A.Kadar Basha, Hon.Advisor, YRC delivered the inaugural address. Dr.P.Mohamed Ali, District Manager of District AIDS Control Society felicitated the programme. Sessions were covered on HIV/AIDS, Environment and Climatic change and child Protection. 75 YRC Volunteers from 20 colleges from Coimbatore District participated. Valedictory address was given by Tmt.Kumudhini Palanisamy, Vice-President, Indian Red Cross Society , Coimbatore District Branch.
One Day District Level YRC Students Study Camp was conducted at Nilgiris. Prof. A.Kadar Basah,Hon.Advisor, YRC delivered the inaugural address. Principal, Kottagiri Polytechnic College and Chairman, Nilgiris District Red Cross Branch felicitated the programme. 70 participants attended from 7 colleges of Nilgiris District.
One Day District Level Youth Red Cross students study camp was conducted at Women’s Christian College on 18-02-2011. . Thiru. T.Radhakrishan, Secretary, Indian Red Cross Society , Tamil Nadu Branch delivered the Inaugural address. Dr. Ramesh Kumar, Hon. State Co-Ordinator, YRC felicitated the programme. Sessions were covered on Red Cross Movement, Disaster Management, and awareness on HIV/AIDS. 70 YRC volunteers from various colleges of Chennai were participated.

A Five Day National Level Training cum study camp for YRC Volunteers and Programme officers was conducted at Madurai Kamaraj University , Madurai from 24 th to 28th February 2011 Shri.Harish L.Metha, Vice-President, Indian Red Cross Society , Tamil Nadu Branch delivered the Presidential address. Prof. A.Kadar Basha, Hon. Advisor, YRC delivered the inaugural address. Sessions were covered on Red Cross Movement, Personality Development, Ecological Disaster, Global Climate change and its Impact in India, Health Management, First aid, Yoga and Holistic Life, the role of YRC volunteers and Programme Officers in Blood donation. Totally 110 YRC volunteers participated from 10 other states & UTs ( Andaman&Nichobar, Andhra Pradesh, Bihar, Gujarath, Karnathaka,Hariyana, Himachal Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Odisha and Pondicherry) . 12 University YRC volunteers from Tamil Nadu also participated. The Valedictory address was given by Dr.P. Chellathurai, Director, Department of Youth Welfare, Madurai Kamaraj University.

An Orientation Programmes on Red Cross Movement was conducted by Indian Red Cross Society , Tamil Nadu Branch, for the YRC Volunteers of Kannigaparameswari College, and Thiyagaraja College Chennai . 250 YRC Volunteers participated.
The YRC volunteers from Rajalakshmi College of Nursing, Vel R.S. Medical College of Nursing, and the students from Red Cross College of Nursing ,Stockholm, Sweden who are undergoing training at MIOT college of Nursing visited the Red Cross activities.
Restoring Family Links Activities in Refegees Camp
Tracing wing of Indian Red Cross Society, Tamil Nadu Branch in coordination with the Commissioner of Rehabilitation, Government of Tamil Nadu, visited Srilankan refugee camps all over the Tamil Nadu since 2008. In continuation during July 2010, Tracing wing visited to the refugee camps at Madurai and Chennai and provided RFL – Tracing Request service to the missing person’s families and also keep in touch through the exchange of Red Cross messages between the separated families. The services include RFL, meeting refugees in the camps, providing psychological support , collecting tracing request from the families to the missing persons in Sri Lank, UAE, France and Uzbekistan.
