Launching of Hearse Services (Mortuary Van Service Programme)

The Government of Tamil Nadu has entrusted the implementation of free Hearse Mortuary Van Service Programme to the Indian Red Cross Society, Tamil Nadu Branch for implementation. This Programme was launched by the Honorable Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, Dr. M. Karunanidhi in the presence of Thiru Harish L. Metha, Vice President, Indian Red Cross Society, Tamil Nadu Branch on 26th February 2011.

Visit by the Vice President to the District & Sub Branches

Thiru Harish L Metha, Vice President, Indian Red Cross Society, Tamil Nadu Branch has undertaken visit to the District Branches on 28th February 2011. He visited Cuddalore, Nagapattinam, Thiruvarur and Thanjavur District Branches and Chidambaram, & Kumbakonam Sub Branches. Issues brought before him were sorted out then and there through discussions. The Vice President met the Vice Chancellor and Registrar of the Annamalai University and sorted out the long pending matters relating to rent and fencing of the Pitchavaram property etc.
