Disaster Management Program .

Disaster Management training programs for Youth Red Cross Volunteers were organized in the following Institutions during the month of February 2011, to build the capacity of Red Cross volunteers in Preparedness, Risk Reduction, Relief Management, and Disaster response at all levels before, during and after disasters.

• Hindu College Avadi, Tiruvallur District
• Women Christian College, Chennai,
• Loyola College, Chennai and
• CSI Bishop New Begin B.Ed College, Chennai.

             More than 500 Youth Red Cross Volunteers participated in all the above training programmes. Topics covered on Red Cross Movement, Disaster Management, Code of conduct, Roles and Responsibilities of Volunteers. Disaster Management Coordinator, IRCS, Tamil Nadu Branch, felicitated all the above sessions.
