Capacity Building Training .

Capacity building training for state disaster response team (SDRT) was organized on 18th and 19th December 2009 at IRCS, TNB. 30 SDRT members from different districts participated in this training program. The main objectives of this training program are to strengthen disaster management (DM) capacity of IRCS/TNB, to create a team of trained personals to support district branches in disaster preparedness and response initiatives at grassroots level. These SDRT members will extend technical support to the district branches to form district disaster response teams (DDRT), block disaster response teams (BDRT) and also to start block level sub-branches in disaster prone areas.
