| FREE HEARSE VAN PROGRAMME (Mortuary Van Service Programme)
TThe Free Hearse Programme was inaugurated on February 26th 2011 in Chennai District .This unit having Seven CDO's with one supervisor, one statistician in Central Response Centre at Triplicane near Kasthuri Bai Hospital Chennai. One Programme Manager, one Programme Assistant at Indian Red Cross Society, Tamil Nadu Branch, one District Programme Assistant in Chennai District and nearly 38 Drivers with 25 attenders are working. At present 18 Vehicles are operating in Chennai District and kancheepuram Details as follows.

Since February 2011, we Transported 5000 cases from the Government Hospitals of Chennai and Kanchipuram Districts. Reports on 5000 cases were given below with Photos. Further, it is proposed to extend this service to the rest of the districts of Tamil Nadu.
