NOMINATION OF VICE PRESIDENT AND CHAIRMAN AS A MEMBER OF THE COMMON BOARD OF SCHOOL EDUCATION.

The Government of Tamilnadu vide G.O.Ms.No.179 School Education (Budget-1) Department have nomiated Thiru Harish L. Metha, Vice President and Chairman of the Indian Red Cross Society, Tamilnadu Branch as a Member in the State Common Board of School Education from among the academic experts and eminent educationalists.

JRC: On 26th November 2011, a function in connection with Coverage/extension/expansion of Junior Red Cross in Matriculation Schools in Tamilnadu was held at Vidhyodaya School Auditorium, Tirumalai Road, T. Nagar, Chennai -17. Thiru D. Jayakumar, Hob'ble Speaker, Government of Tamilnadu was the Chief Guest, preside over by Dr.P. Mani, Director of School Education and Thiru A. Shankar, Director of Elementary Education as a guest of honour. Thiru Harish L. Metha, Vice President and Chairman delivered the welcome address. On that occasion all the Matriculation Schools were requested by the Hon'ble Speaker of Tamilnadu to enroll their schools under the JRC movement. I n addition, we made an appeal to all the Management and Matriculation schools to collect Re.1/- from students towards contribution to the Day Care Hospital run by the Indian Red Cross Society, Tamilnadu Branch.
