Blood Bank

Blood Donation camps were conducted during MAY 2010 by Indian Red Cross Society, Tamil Nadu Branch Blood Bank unit in following 9 camps and 965 units of Blood were collected.

ISSUE OF WHOLE HUMAN BLOOD:-

        757 units were issued on requisition to various hospitals.28 units issued free of cost to Government General Hospital on requisition from Resident Medical Officer.

COMPONENT SEPARATION UNIT:-

        In our Blood Bank, blood components like Packed Red Cell, Fresh Frozen Plasma and Platelet Concentrate are separated and blood supplied to hospitals and Nursing Homes on requisition.
