| FNS - SUCCESS STORY.
On June 29.06.2011 Mrs. Nithya Sadasivam, a Srilankan refugee residing at Chennai has requested Tamil Nadu Branch of Indian Red Cross Society to find out her husband Mr.Suresh Sadasivam and daughter Ms.Lavani Sadasivam, who were separated during war at Srilanka in 2006. Tracing Request was registered and additional information about the missing person was also collected. The family suspected that, the missing person may move to Netherlands. Registered Tracing Request was sent to NHQ for further process. In the mean time we search with a Social Network about the Tamil people community living in Netherlands. On 15.07.2011, we were able to find out a name “Suresh Mathu” in the social network and also missing person‘s photos. Immediately we contacted Mr.Suresh Sadasivam over mail and informed him about his wife’s details. He was so happy to know about his wife. He gave his phone number to contact his wife and the same was informed to Mrs.Nithya Sadasivam at chennai.
On the same day at 10.33 Am through our Red Cross phone we contacted his number in Netherlands, at that time his 11 years old daughter was alone in the home, immediately we put the phone on conference mode, and both daughter and mother were able to talk. It was very emotional conversation between the mother and daughter.
After 11.30 AM, again we contacted Mr.Suresh Sadasivam at Netherlands over phone, family Link was re-established between husband and wife. Both were emotional and they conveyed their heartiest thanks to Indian Red Cross Society, Tamil Nadu Branch for re-establishing contact between the separated family members after 6 years.
