Relief to fire victims by Indian Red Cross Society, TamilNadu Branch.

Severe fire accidents occurred in Pulinathope and Tondiarpet in North Chennai about 650 families affected due to this fore. Thiru Harish L.Metha, Vice President & Chairman of Indian Red Cross Society, Tamil Nadu branch has organized a programme to distribute the relief materials to the affected families at Sri.Kanniga Parameswari Arts & Science College for Women, Chennai.

The relief material containing the following items – sarees, bed sheets, towels lungies, steel plates, steel ladles , Aluminum cooking vessels with lid, aluminum taberas, plastic mats, korai mats, steel tumblers.

Thiru D.Jayakumar ,Hon’ble speaker , Government of TamilNadu distributed the relief materials to the affected families in the presence of Thiru N.Balaganga MP,Thiru N.Pazha Karuppaiah MLA,Thiru P.Vetrivel MLA , Thiru R.Prathap Kumar ,Ex-Zonal Chairman corporation of Chennai and T.Radahakrishnan, Secretary, IRCS Tamil Nadu Branch at 6 pm on Wednesday the 13th July 2011 at Sri.Kanniga Parameswari Arts & Science College for Women, Chennai.

About 40 YRC volunteers worked in the packing, loading & unloading Packed relief materials and assisted the distribution.
