District Branch Activities

Namakkal District :

On the occasion of the Aids Awareness programme on 1/12/2011,the Namakkal District Branch organized Blood Donation Camp which was inaugurated by R. Seethalakshmi, District Revenue Officer, In which Dr.Lakshmi , Joint Director Health services , Dr. Chandra Mohan Deputy Director of Health Services, Namakkal , Dr.Mohan Resident Medical Officer, Govt.Hospital Namakkal and S.Rajesh, Hon. Secretary Namakkal District also participated. Later 500 students took out rally campaigning for Aids Awareness; Followed by this, the District collector J.Kumaragurubaran, IAS, President IRCS – Namakkal District participated in the Mass Launch with the AIDS affected persons in which Thiru .C.Rajesh, Hony Secretary, IRCS Namakkal District also participated.

Sub- District Branch Activities

Chidambaram:

Chidambaram Sub – District branch of Cuddalore District conducted a two day Blood Grouping Camp at Govt.Girls Higher Secondary school, Chidambaram on 7/12/2011 and 8/12/2011 and the students numbering approximately 2750 were tested for Blood Group. About 48 technicians from Mahatma Gandhi clinical Lab & Royal Lab Cuddalore were involved in this programme. Thiru. K .Sethumadhavan , Vice – president, Indian Red Cross Society, Chidambaram Sub District Branch, presided in the presence of Dr.vetriveramani and K. Ganapathy, secretary, Indian Red Cross Society, Chidambaram Sub-District Branch . Tmt .Indhumathi Sub – collector and ex-officio President, Indian Red Cross Society, Chidambaram Sub - District Branch distributed the certificates to the students.
