Creches

     Creches Indian Red Cross Society, Tamil Nadu Branch is running 55 creche units supported by Central Social Welfare Board, New Delhi and Directorate of Social Welfare, Chennai-5 IN 18 Districts in Tamil Nadu. Totally 1350 children are benefited under this scheme. Children in the age group of 0-6 are admitted in the creches. Each crèche is having about 25 to 30 children. They are provided with free meal, education and play therapy. The working hours are from 9 am to 5 p.m. There are 110 employees working in these crèches.

     Tsunami Rehabilitation Project

A project for installation of 72 Solar Street Lights in four villages of – Pazahayar 21 Nos, Thirumullaivasal 21 Nos, Samathanpettai 15 Nos, Mahalakshmi Nagar 15 Nos in Nagapattinam District was sanctioned at a total cost of Rs. 13.90 lakhs . This project is supported by the Indian Red Cross Society, Karnataka State Branch. This project is expected be completed in May 2011.
